The Madera/Chowchilla Resource Conservation District is pleased to announce funding opportunities from the California Wildlife Conservation Board for habitat implementation. This funding aims to increase monarch and pollinator habitat on public and working lands, including agricultural land.
Public and working lands in Madera and Chowchilla are eligible for the program. Small and historically disadvantaged growers are strongly encouraged to reach out and take advantage of this opportunity.
Participants will receive help with the design and implementation of wildlife habitat restoration projects, such as hedgerows. The funding covers site preparation for pollinator habitat installation and materials, including native plant plugs and seeds. Additionally, ongoing monitoring and maintenance assistance will be provided to ensure the success of the habitat restoration projects.
