CDFA Partnership

CDFA Pollinator Plan Funding

In collaboration with the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA), the MCRCD is implementing comprehensive strategies that significantly enhance and expand pollinator habitats throughout agricultural landscapes.

This initiative focuses on developing diverse and resilient ecosystems that support long-term agricultural productivity while protecting the essential pollinator species that are the backbone of California's food system.

Land Repurposing

Multibenefit Land Repurposing Program (MLRP)

The MLRP supports the transition of irrigated agricultural land to dryland farming, habitat restoration, or renewable energy production — helping landowners adapt to changing water availability while generating multiple environmental benefits.

This program addresses the interconnected challenges of water scarcity, land use change, and economic sustainability, providing technical and financial assistance to landowners navigating the transition to alternative land uses.
